Pizza Rolls For Kids
Ingredients for Pizza Rolls:
Pizza dough - 14 oz. (store-bought or homemade)
Mozzarella - 1 cup (shredded)
Sliced pepperoni - 20 pieces (or turkey pepperoni, cut into quarters)
Pizza sauce - 8 tbsp. (or marinara)
Unsalted butter - 2 tbsp. (melted)
Garlic powder - 1/4 tsp.
Olive oil - to brush the tin
All-Purpose flour - for dusting
Method of preparing the Pizza Rolls:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush a cupcake tin with olive oil.
  2. Dust a work surface with a little flour and stretch the pizza dough into a 14x12-inch (35x30 cm) rectangle with a rolling pin.
  3. Cut the pizza dough vertically in half, and then cut the remaining rectangles into 4 even strips. All in all, you should have 8 strips of dough.
  4. Top each strip with pizza sauce, pepperoni quarters, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic powder and the melted butter.
  6. Roll up each pizza strip and place the resulting pizza rolls in the cupcake tin. Brush each pizza roll with the garlic and butter mix.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes in the oven, or until the rolls are golden brown on top.
  8. Let the rolls cool for 5 minutes before serving. These rolls can be refrigerated in a sealed container for up to 5 minutes.
