Ingredients for mulled wine:
Method of preparing the mulled wine:
-
Boil 2 rosemary sprigs in 1/2 cup cranberry juice. Let boil 3 minutes.
-
Stain into a bigger pot and add the orange peels, wine, remaining 1/2 cup cranberries juice, cloves, cranberries, cinnamon sticks and star anise.
-
Cook on low heat for one hour until warm. Stir in the rum and serve warm, garnished with additional rosemary, cranberries and cinnamon sticks.
Chef's Tip:
When you peel the orange, be careful not to peel the white pith with it, as it's bitter in taste.
