A New Look at Food - Fascinating!

An electron microscope is a type of microscope that uses an electron beam to illuminate a specimen and produce a magnified image. This type of microscope can get to magnifications of up to about x10,000,000 times!

Everything looks different at such magnifications, so even if you thought you knew what normal food stuffs look like, you may be quite surprised...

This broccoli floret looks like a tulip under the microscope.
