The Incredible Balloon Art of Masayoshi Matsumoto

This Japanese artist's medium is unusual to most, yet still remarkable. Balloon artist Masayoshi Matsumoto has made a name for himself through his incredible ability to sculpt intricate animal and insect sculptures from balloons. His love of balloon art started early on. At just seven years old, Matsumoto was inspired by wildlife pictures and wanted to see if he was able to create realistic animals of his own.
 
 
The self-taught artist spends a minimum of two hours to complete each piece of his unique art, although he can spend up to six if the project he's working on is more complex. His art becomes all the more stunning when you realize that each piece is made entirely out of balloons. He doesn't use any markers, stickers or any other supplementary material.
