The Flat Belly Guide

 Belly fat can be incredibly difficult to lose. It's often a result of an imbalance in calories consumed versus calories worked out. Another reason for holding excess weight around your middle is hormones. Estrogen, progesterone and testosterone fluctuate with age and imbalances of these hormones may result in weight gain in the belly area. Cortisol, the stress hormone, may also be to blame. So, what can you do to trim your belly fat?

1. You are what you eat

The food you eat plays a big role in your midriff. Incorporating the following foods into your diet is not only beneficial for the body, it will help reduce your stress levels too:

2. Get your heart rate up

Incorporate exercises into your daily regime, particularly those that focus on HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). You can also add cardio bursts to your workout. Here are some core-strengthening exercises that'll help keep your belly in shape.

3. Incorporate smoothies into your diet

Drink fiber rich smoothies on a daily basis. Aim for 25 to 30g of fiber rich foods each day. This fat-busting smoothies is both filling and nutritious and will ensure that you get a flat belly in the process too.
