Mind Blowing Hyper-Realistic Oil Paintings of Nature

I have profound admiration for two things in life: art and nature, so when I came across this inspiring artist's work I was overjoyed to see how beautifully the two go together. At a glance, these paintings look more like photographs. This is especially evident in the first picture, depicted below.

Created by An Jung-hwan, this talented Korean painter is able to create impeccable detail in each of his paintings - he uses oil paint to bring out the rich and vibrant color of nature. Several of his artworks have been sold at auction for a hefty price. In 2009, one of his paintings fetched an impressive $15,810 price tag. But as you're about to see, they are certainly worth it. Take a look at his beautiful works of art:

Painting foliage is an incredibly time-consuming process. Patience and skill in the right blend are required to create works of art such as these.

Bristle brushes and fine pointed brushes are used in order to achieve a realistic touch of the leaves.

Painting leaves can be especially challenging as it involves getting the perfect texture.

To create art as detailed as this, one also requires great observation about how leaves are arranged on a tree.
