1. Peanut Butter and Chocolate Ice Cream
This chocolaty treat uses fresh bananas, not the chemical substitute found in industrial ice cream. Once done, sprinkle a few dark chocolate chips or fresh-cut fruit to add an extra dimension of flavor to this tasty treat (Serves 3-4).

•    ½ cup Greek yogurt
•    4 bananas (frozen)
•    ¼ cup Canadian maple syrup
•    ⅓ cup cocoa powder
•    2 tablespoons peanut butter
Preparation:
1.    In a food processor, mix the yogurt, bananas, maple, and cocoa until the mixture is unified.
2.    Add the peanut butter and blend again.
3.    Serve immediately.

 
2. Dairy-Free Coconut Flakes Ice Cream
If you love coconut ice cream, like I do, this recipe will become a permanent part of your dessert repertoire. This ice cream is wonderfully creamy, yet lactose-free, making it perfect for those of you who don’t eat dairy. (Serves 3-4)

Ingredients:
•    ½ cup coconut milk
•    ½ cup coconut flakes
•    ¼ cup Canadian maple syrup
•    ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
•    2 bananas (frozen)
Preparation:
1.    In a bowl, mix all the ingredients with a spoon, and then transfer to a food processor and blend until the mixture is unified.
2.    Pour into a container and put it in the freezer for 4 hours.
3.    Enjoy!
 
3. Tart Cherry Ice Cream
The cherries’ wonderful color will get everyone’s attention when it’s time for dessert. This is a healthy and refreshing indulgence that combines antioxidants from the cherries, and protein from the yogurt. (Serves 2-3)

•    2 cups of frozen cherries
•    1 cup Greek yogurt
•    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
•    1 tablespoon honey
Preparation:
1.    In a food processor, blend the cherries, vanilla extract, and ½ cup of yogurt until the mixture is smooth.
2.    Move the mixture into a container.
3.    Blend the other ½ cup of yogurt with the honey and lightly drizzle it on top of the cherry mixture.
4.    Freeze for 4 hours before serving.

 
4. Mint Chip Ice Cream
This healthy version of the mint chip is great for those of you who like their desserts less sweet, and combines avocados, bananas, and yogurt, all of which are excellent sources of protein and unsaturated fats. (Serves 3-4)

•    1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
•    1 avocado, peeled and pitted
•    3 bananas (frozen)

Preparation:
1.    Blend all the ingredients, except for the chocolate chips, until the mixture is smooth.
2.    Add the chips to the mix, but do not blend again.
3.    Transfer to a container and freeze for 4 hours.

1.    Put the can of coconut milk in the fridge overnight. The next day, open the can and separate the liquid and the thicker cream.
2.    Transfer the cream to a food processor, and add the maple syrup and strawberries. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
3.    Serve immediately or freeze for 4 hours if you want a harder consistency.

•    6 dates (pitted)

1.    In a food processor, blend the yogurt, maple syrup, banana, and milk cubes until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
2.    Add the salt and dates and blend again until the mixture is consistent.
3.    Serve immediately or freeze for 4 hours.

•    1 dash of salt
•    2 tablespoons chocolate chips
•    ½ cup cookies of your choice (crushed)
Preparation:
1.    Soak the cashews overnight, and then wash them, before drying them well.
2.    In a food processor, mix all the ingredients, except for the cookies and chocolate chips, and blend until the consistency is smooth.
3.    Add the chocolate chips and cookies and blend a few times.
4.    Freeze for 4 hours before serving.
