Fancy Parmesan Cheese Bowl Recipe

You can't go wrong with a plate of pasta and a cheesy sauce. But what if you could serve this comforting dish in a fancy, homemade Parmesan cheese bowl? While it may look like something only a chef can serve up, it's actually pretty easy. Just take a look at the video below. We've also included the recipe below the video. Bon Appetit!

Ingredients:
For the pasta:

½ lb dried spaghetti
1 cup Pecorino Romano cheese, finely grated
3 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. freshly-ground black pepper (add more per taste)

For the Parmesan bowl:

1 ½ cups shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions:

For the cheese bowl: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the cheese into two portions, forming each one into an even 6-7 inch circle on the parchment paper. Bake for about 6 minutes, at which point the cheese should be melted and golden. Remove the cheese from the oven and use a spatula to lift each Parmesan disk off the tray, immediately placing it over two soup bowls (bottoms facing up). Gently press around the sides so that the cheese will take the shape of the bowl, and allow to cool.

For the pasta: Bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until 'al dente'. Put aside one cup of the salted pasta water and drain the rest. Add some olive oil and some pasta water, half of the cheese and black pepper to the cooked pasta. Toss until fully coated. Serve the pasta in the parmesan bowls and sprinkle more cheese and black pepper. Enjoy!
