Visit the World's Natural Wonders with Google

Traveling the world has never been this easy. Thanks to Google Map's amazing street view, you now have the opportunity to visit some of the Earth's most mesmerizing and remote places, including the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef, the Galapagos Islands, and Finland's Northern Lights. Scroll through 10 of the most breathtaking natural locations on Earth, and take yourself through paths, over rivers, across dangerous bridges, and wherever your curiosity might take you. 

 

Instructions: The images for each of the below locations are interactive. Hover over them and navigate yourself through the map by clicking on the marked areas around you. Hover with your cursor above the ground and you'll see it change to an arrow, click to move to that location (not all of the below can be travelled).

Moving your mouse wheel up and down will zoom in and out of the photo.  You may use the 360° view wherever you move by clicking and dragging your mouse anywhere. For a more realistic experience, click on 'View on Google Maps' to see an enlarged version. 

Explore South America's mesmerizing Amazon Rainforest
See nature at its best as you take a boat ride through the largest rainforest in the world, which is home to endless biodiversity, as well as thousands of river crossings. Here's your chance to enter this natural paradise.  
 
Dive with the turtles at Norman Reef, Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living thing on Earth, and it is also visible from space. You might be lucky to discover some interesting finds down here, so don't forget to look down while you make your way through the water.
 
Hang out with the penguins in Antarctica
You're bound to meet many chinstrap penguins here, on this crescent-shaped island in Antarctica called Half Moon Island. Only some people get to visit the world's most remote continent, so consider yourself lucky to be stepping inside.
 
Discover the beauty of Cape Town, South Africa
Enjoy the scenic views as you travel up or down Tafelberg Road,  built along the north face of Table Mountain. You can see fantastic views of Cape Town from here, as well as the harbor, the Cape Flats, and perhaps even a glimpse of Robben island.

The best you can ever get from the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Grand Canyon. You'll sure feel tiny as you walk along these narrow paths while the huge, colorful rocks tower over you.

Invite yourself to enjoy the blissful panoramic views of the mountain range, Brenta Dolomites, found in Trento, Italy, together with its breathtaking surroundings. 
Step inside Japan's dark and winding silver mine, Iwami
Discover the deepness of Iwami Silver Mine, Japan's largest ever mine in history, which operated for almost 400 years (since 1526). The high-quality silver found in here used to be generally used for coins.
 

Walk with the giant tortoises in Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos giant tortoise is the largest living species of tortoise in the world today, and here is one of the two remote archipelagos where it is found. Spotting one of these phenomenal creatures is surely one unforgettable experience - go ahead and give it a shot!

 
Cross over the Mudslide Bridge, Nepal

Hold on tight while walking over this so-called 'mudslide' bridge to cross over from Lukla to Namche Bazaar, on your way to Mount Everest - especially if you're afraid of heights. This bridge has been destroyed several times because of the elements, but luckily with Google Maps, it only takes a click.
