Dessert Pizza Recipes You Must Try

After we showed you how to make the perfect pizza, it’s time for dessert. “So what’s for dessert?” you may ask, and the answer is “Pizza”. These 5 dessert pizzas will turn your post-meal treat into a surprising and delicious experience.

1. Fruit Pizza

This in not only a delicious treat, it is also an eye-catcher and one of the best ways to get your kids to eat some fruit.

Ingredients:

SUGAR COOKIE CRUST

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1½ tsp. cornstarch

TOPPING

  • 8oz (224g) full-fat cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp. cream/milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Assorted sliced fresh fruit

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix cream and softened butter until it’s nice and smooth.
  2. Add the sugar until the mix is fluffy and light in color, then beat in  the egg and vanilla.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch.
  4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  5. Once combined, cover the dough tightly and chill in the refrigerator for at-least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) degrees.
  7. Spray a 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray.
  8. Press the chilled cookie dough onto the pizza pan in an even flat circle.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the edges are very lightly browned.
  10. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  11. Add the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla and 1 tbsp. cream.
  12. Spread in a thick layer over the crust and decorate with fruit.

 

2. Peanut Butter Brownie Pizza

This dessert pizza is so delicious, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll have any leftovers. Make at your own risk.

Ingredients:

BROWNIES

  • 2oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • ⅓ cup canola oil
  • 1 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cups flour
  • ½ tsp salt

TOPPINGS

  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped candy

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) degrees.
  2. Spray a pizza pan with cooking spray.
  3. In a bowl, mix oil and melted chocolate until smooth, beat in eggs and sugar.
  4. Add flour and salt, then pour into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mainly clean.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top of the brownies straight out of the oven, and let cool for 5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle remaining candy over the top.

 

 

 

3. Cherry Cobbler Pizza

Your family and friends will be begging for more once they taste this scrumptious dish.

Ingredients:

DOUGH

  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 3 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1½ packaged active dry yeast

TOPPINGS:

  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • salt
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds or pecans
  • 1 can cherry pie filling 21oz.
  • ½ cup mascarpone cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) degrees.
  2. Spray a pizza pan with cooking spray.
  3. In a small bowl, add the yeast to the water and mix until it’s fully combined.
  4. In a bowl mix flour, salt, and sugar, then add the yeast water.
  5. Beat in the eggs, milk, mix until fully combined.
  6. In a medium bowl, mix oats, butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and nuts.
  7. Spray a 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray.
  8. Spread the dough in the pizza pan, and prick the dough all over so it won’t bubble up when baking.
  9. Put the canned cherry pie filling on top of the dough, followed by the topping.
  10. Bake for 7-8 minutes in the middle rack of your oven.
  11. When the pizza is done, add mascarpone cheese on top and enjoy!

4. Flourless Chocolate Pizza

If you’re sensitive to, or just avoiding gluten, yet have a serious sweet tooth, this is the recipe for you.

Ingredients:

CRUST:

  • 8oz. dark chocolate (no more than 55% cocoa)
  • ½ cup butter
  • 3 eggs

TOPPINGS:

  • Raspberries, fresh mint leaves, flaked coconut
  • Chocolate sauce or melted chocolate chips
  • Coconut butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) degrees.
  2. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan with coconut butter around the edges.
  3. Melt chocolate and butter in a pan over low heat until fully combined.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. Beat eggs until they are frothy in appearance, then mix in the melted chocolate.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly onto the pizza pan and bake for 6 minutes.
  7. Add toppings and drizzle with melted chocolate.

 

5. Raw Fruit Pizza

This may be the easiest one to make, and it’s even vegan, so everyone can enjoy it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium watermelon
  • 1 banana
  • 1 handful of blueberries
  • 1-2 tbs. unsweetened coconut
  • 1 tbsp. goji berries
  • 1 tbsp. fresh mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Slice a large round from the watermelon.
  2. Lay onto a cutting board and add toppings.
  3. Slice as you would a pizza.
