1. Did you know that you can make cake out of ice cream? Mix two cups of ice cream in any flavor with a cup and a half of self-rising flour. Mix until dough is formed and bake in a rectangle baking pan in 180 degrees until it browns. Lick to see if it's good, and believe me, it will be! Make sure the self-rising dough you pick isn't too salty. |
2. Make pimples go away with the ibuprofen gel. Just cut off the head of the jelly pill, and use as acne cream. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory agent and the alcohol in the liquid opens the pores of your skin so it enters more quickly. In Japan they actually use it as acne medicine in the form of an ointment. |
3. Need to wash a large number of fruit quickly? Put them in the dishwasher (with no cleaning materials inside!) and put on cold wash. Be sure to give it a wash once before you do it, to get rid of remnants of soap. |

5. Keep your laptop from overheating on the cheap. Just put them on egg cartons, these will disperse the hot air effectively and keep it ventilated without it being too high up. You can paint the forward row for extra fun points. |
6. Has the pillow flattened? Take it out to the sun. 30 minutes under the noon sun should evaporate the moisture that has been building in the padding and will give the pillow its girth back. |
7. Losing focus? Brush your teeth. If you feel like you need a break and your eyes are glazing over, wash your face and brush your teeth. That feeling of cleanliness will reawaken you quite effectively. |
8. Someone in the house keeps flipping the carpet corner? Tape it to place with invisible velcro strips. |
9. These toilet roll holders can save you a lot of room in the pantry. |
10. Don't have enough room on the counter? Open a drawer and put a cutting board on it to make another work surface. |
11. Never worry about your fly coming down again. Hook a ring from your key holder to your fly and hook it over the button when you tie up. |
12. Simple solution to digging out a splinter. If you have a splinter or chip, wet a plaster and put a little drinking soda on it. The splinter will immediately poke its head out. |
