Easy Fried Cabbage and Noodles
Ingredients for Fried Cabbage and Noodles:
Cooking oil - 2 tbsp.
Cabbage - 1/2 a head
Butter - 2 tbsp.
Salt and Pepper - to taste
Method of preparing the Fried Cabbage and Noodles:
  1. Slice the onion into 1/4-inch wide strips and add it to a large pot with cooking oil. Sauté over medium to medium-high heat. Make sure the onions are soft and browned on the edges.
  2. Now remove the core from the cabbage and slice it into 1/2-inch wide strips. Add the sliced cabbage to the pot along with a pinch of salt and about 1/4 cup water. Keep sautéing the cabbage for 15 minutes until it is tender. Use the water to help dissolve any browned bits off the bottom of the pot.
  3. Meanwhile, boil water in a pot. As it begins to boil, add the egg noodles. Keep boiling for 7 minutes until the noodles are tender. Drain the noodles in a colander.
  4. After the cabbage has turned tender, turn the heat off. Now add the cooked and drained noodles, butter, and salt and pepper to the pot. Stir well. Taste the noodles and add more salt and pepper if desired. Serve hot.
