Did you know that little kids only develop the ability to take other’s people’s points of view into consideration at age 5? This is one reason why toddlers and kindergarteners are at a major disadvantage when it comes to the game of Hide and Seek. Instead of hiding, they just close their eyes or cover their heads, convinced that when they don’t see anything, no one else will be able to see them either. This is not a sign of low intelligence or anything like that. It just reminds us that kids are complete novices in this game called life.
