14 Aerial Photos of France's Unbelievable Salt Fields

Watch closely - these photos are neither edited nor colorized in any way! The pink hue occurs naturally in the salt flats of France's Camargue region thanks to a species of algae called Dunaliella salina. This is also the name of this photo series by Italian photographer Paolo Pettigiani. Using an aerial angle and close-ups, he draws a magical profile of the salt flats of Camargue, full of color and salt crystals. And if the green waters around seem a little too green to you, you'd be right - they have a bright green color thanks to seaweed! There is a slight sense of illusion to this series of photos - can you tell which ones are close-ups and which ones were shot from far above?
