Françoise Weeks, a floral designer based in the US, grew up in Belgium, where flowers were part of everyday life. Now she incorporates them into intricately designed fashion items and accessories. Her whimsical works look like bewitched objects, taken straight out of a magical world of fairy dust and pixies. She crafts necklaces, earrings, rings, bags, and extravagant headpieces fit for the royal French court of the 17th century. Weeks designs dresses, shoes, and even bow-ties and Venetian masks, woven from flowers and botanical elements. Among all her unique works you can also find classic flower arrangements and structural bouquets.
She started out designing for weddings and now she mainly focuses on teaching. Her passion is to pass on the knowledge and techniques she accumulated over the years after much trial and error. One of her main goals is to cultivate a curiosity among her students. What I'm curious about is to see what she'll create next!
