John Lennon: Borrowed Time

We all miss our youth, at one stage or another. It's one thing we all share. But what are we missing, really? Is it the freedom we had, or the young bodies we used? This song was recorded in 1980, before Lennon was killed, and published in 1984. It was inspired by a yachting incident in which all the crew had seasickness except for Lennon, who took command. He realized that he was immune because of his past addiction to heroin when he was living on "borrowed time". This song, he used to say, comes to say: "No matter who you were, be who you are now, and be thankful for who you are now." I hope this song makes you feel just that. Enjoy...
