Snack: One cup of orange or green tea.

Dinner: A glass of almond milk, fish, and 150 grams of tofu.

You can, if you want, replace the tofu with cottage cheese, the chicken with fish, the coffee with green tea, and the orange with an apple.

The most important thing to do is to reduce or eliminate simple carbohydrates from your diet (sugar, pasta, fruit juice, alcohol, and white bread). When the digestive system is out of balance, high-glycemic carbs and sugar tend to ferment in the colon. This can be the reason for gas and bloating.

It’s even possible to heal irritable bowel syndrome using a high-protein diet in addition to other diet tips.

Just follow the advice below:

• Stay hydrated throughout the day
• Avoid fried, fatty, spicy foods, sweeteners, black tea, alcohol, and carbonated beverages
• Don’t smoke
• Eat more prunes
