Pour the juice of three limes into your coffee maker’s reservoir. Add water, let it sit for around 30 minutes, then run the coffee maker without a filter. Once completed, wait 30 more minutes, the run once more with plain water to rinse.
2. Refresh the Garbage Disposal
Toss a few slices of lime into the garbage disposal to freshen it up.
3. Remove Odors off Hands
Rub your hands with lime juice to remove any lingering cooking odors from them.
4. De-stink the Dishwasher
Squeeze some lime juice into the bottom of your dishwasher to help neutralize any odors.
Sprinkle half a lime with some salt, then rub it gently over your stainless-steel appliances. Then wipe it down with a soft cloth. This same process can also help remove water stains from faucets.
6. Clean the Microwave
Pour some lime juice into a glass Pyrex or microwavable bowl. Cook it for 6 minutes. Once completed, wipe down the inside of the microwave with a soft, dry cloth.
7. Clean Wooden Utensils
Wipe down wooden cutting boards, rolling pins, bowls, and utensils with lime juice to remove the odors that have built up over time.
8. Prevent Mildew
Mix together equal parts of lime juice and baking soda. Scrub the mixture onto bathroom grout and tiles. Let it sit for 3 hours before rinsing off.
9. Clear the Air
Boil some slices of lime in a pot of water to help remove any lingering odors from the kitchen. You should let it boil for 30-45 minutes.
