These Danish Playgrounds Are Outstanding!

LEGO isn't the only Danish company that invites children to celebrate their imagination. MONSTRUM, another Danish company, has been building incredibly creative and unique playgrounds since 2003. From a monstrous electric eel coiling its way around a lighthouse to a cross between a rocket ship and a princess tower - these imaginative playgrounds are the stuff of every child's dreams! Have a look at the photos below, and see if you or your kids might want to have a go on them too!

1. Liseberg
Even Grown-Ups Can't Resist These Playgrounds!
Welcome to our playground in Gothenburg's Liseberg! Climb as high as you dare and swing from our enormous nets. While you're here, you might as well enjoy some close encounters with giant birds and spectacular solar reflections!

2. The Crooked Houses
Even Grown-Ups Can't Resist These Playgrounds!
Back in the good old days of the 1800s, Brumleby was a very traditional place, and was home to both a dairy and a slaughterhouse. The idea behind this playground is to remind us of this town's past, and to recreate a piece of its fantastic history.
3. The Blue Whale
Even Grown-Ups Can't Resist These Playgrounds!
Can you imagine a better way of spending a Sunday morning than by being swallowed by a blue whale? You can crawl through its belly or climb high up onto its back. From there you can slide back down, ready to do it all once again!

4. Kristineberg Slottspark
Even Grown-Ups Can't Resist These Playgrounds!
Weird insects and wise owls make up the theme of this playground. Both of the gigantic owls are an impressive 5.5 meters tall, and are said to be the king and queen of this area.
5. Odense Zoo
Even Grown-Ups Can't Resist These Playgrounds!
The story behind this playground takes place on the African savannah. The massive lion lies in hiding, dreaming of his next meal. Behind the tall grass, you can catch a glimpse of an old hut in the trees, complete with two slippery slides!
6. Children's Railway Station
Even Grown-Ups Can't Resist These Playgrounds!
Children's Railway Station is a brilliant indoor playground, found within the Danish Railway Museum in Odense. This playground was inspired by Odense Station in the 1960s and is a spectacular blast from the past!
7. The Eel and the Lighthouse
Even Grown-Ups Can't Resist These Playgrounds!
Situated right beside the National Museum of Bermuda you'll find a gigantic green Murray eel wrapped around a lighthouse. Do you or your kids dare to take a step inside?

8. The Dragon

Even Grown-Ups Can't Resist These Playgrounds!
This playground must certainly have one of the most magical settings any child could ask for! A large dragon has settled in Aalborg's Mulighedernes Park, and dares any child who gets close enough to climb up him!
