We live in a very colorful world, with many different cultures, customs, languages, sights and sounds. One of the differences that always catch me off guard, though, is how the sounds animals make can be perceived so differently by people from different countries. I mean, a woof is a woof isn't it? Well, apparently sometimes a woof is a Guau or Blaf, sometimes Gav or Bau. Same goes for all the other animal sounds we thought we knew so well.
