Model Maker Uses Ordinary Camera to do Wonders!

Michael Paul Smith has spent a large part of the last 25 years pursuing his passion - making miniature models and photographing them to create an incredible gallery of vintage car photos. He has actually made up a fictional, sleepy, 1950s American called "Elgin Park", which he has slowly been creating through his photographs.

As an expert model maker, Smith's model can will pass even the closest scrutiny, which is what allows him to make such realistic looking photos, placing them in miniature dioramas and using forced perpective and parts of the real world to make his little scenes come to life. The result is a re-write of history, a work of fiction that faithfully reproduces scenes from a time gone by.

And the kick is, Michael doesn't even use an expensive camera, just a $250 one that anyone can buy (14-megapixel Canon SX280).
