See the Gorgeous Attractions of Singapore Botanic Gardens

Located at the edge of Singapore’s shopping district on Orchard Road is a wondrous haven of natural beauty, filled with flowers, exotic trees, and a variety of environmental and cultural exhibits. The botanic garden was first built by an agricultural society in 1859 and did immense research and experimentation into effective methods of plant extraction.

These programs played a major role in the trade of rubber from Singapore, thanks to the techniques for rubber extraction perfected through the activities of this garden. Today, it stands as one of the most fascinating gardens in Asia and receives over 4.4 million visitors every year. Curious to know why? Just take a look below!

There are more attractions in this garden than can be counted, and even more continue to be added every year. In addition to the lush greenly lit passageways and the stunning juxtaposition of nature-inspired art, let's not forget the main purpose of this garden. On display, in both the exhibits and along the pathways, are thousands of different species of trees, plants and flowers. The National Orchid Garden alone holds over 3000 different species, over half of which are hybrids.
