Artist Creates Animal Portraits with All Natural Materials

Ikebana is an ancient Japanese art of arranging flowers, blossoms, leaves, and stems. It differs from western flower arranging in its aim to bring out the inner qualities of these living materials and use them to express emotion. This art form inspired Montreal based artist and photographer Raku Inoue to create these delicate and unique animal portraits. Each one of them is made out of seasonal materials, all natural. The result is peaceful and lovely to look at.
