15 Fascinating Historical Photos

 
We are more privileged than the generations before us, as we can gaze almost 200 years back and see how time progressed in small steps, gnawing down on old buildings and landscapes, erecting new structures and ways of life. The generations before us were not so lucky and had to rely on imagination and paintings. Thus, we look back at time and see the fascinating images of times past.

8. Lieutenant General Japanese Torshiro Kawaba reaches out for a handshake, which is refused by Colonel Sidney Mashbir. This meeting was held at Kawaba's visit to Manila in preparation for the Japanese surrender ceremony at the end of World War II. The two people in the picture knew each other before the war - August 1945.
