Make Your Own Ketchup at Home

If you're anything like me, you love your tomato ketchup. What's not to love, after all, it goes with so many dishes! But, did you know it tastes so much better when it's homemade and fresh? As luck would have it, it's easy to make as well! Just follow the instructions in this video, and check out the ingredient list below it so you have all you need. Surprise your family and friends with a fresh taste they've rarely, if ever, have had with ketchup before.

Difficulty Level: Low
Ingredients:
Tomato paste - 1 cup
Brown sugar - 1 heaped tbsp.
White vinegar - 3 tbsp.
Water - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1/2 small onion
Mustard - 1/2 tsp.
Cloves - 1/4 tsp. (grounded)
Ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp.
Salt - 1/4 tsp.
Method of Preparation:
  1. Peel and chop the onion. Melt the sugar in hot water. Using a hand blender or the food processor, mash the water, sugar and onion together into a paste.
  2. Combine the rest of the ingredients in one bowl. Whisk everything together, and gradually add the onion-sugar water until you reach the desired consistency.
