The Incredible Paper Art by Lisa Lloyd

Lisa Lloyd started to create designs out of paper about 6 years ago. She initially started creating this art in her spare time while working on graphic design and animation projects. Her first project was a 2D paper hummingbird. From then on she came to realize how much she loved working with the paper and how she found the whole experience to be really relaxing, almost meditative. As time went on she became a member of the Paper Artists Collective - a group that is made up of incredibly talented paper artists from around the globe. 

 

She later started to experiment with 3D models of paper art and challenged herself, with every project to create more intricate designs. Lisa hit it big when she was asked to create a blue tit out of paper for Waitrose Magazine in the UK. She spent 5 days making one of the models. The feathers were all hand cut and fringed, the body was made from hundreds of hand-cut pieces. As you are about to see her greatest inspiration for her work comes from nature. She is inspired by nature's patterns, symmetry, color, geometry, and texture. Take a look at her stunning work below:
