Stunning Marble Sculptures in Naples

In the heart of Naples' historic district lies Capella Sansevero, a small chapel that hosts some of the most astonishing marble sculptures ever carved. In fact, the little chapel looks more like a museum, hosting 28 works of art by a number of the leading Italian artists from the 18th century. Raimondo di Sangro, Prince of Sansevero, and the chapel's patron, played a prominent role in shaping the design, direction, and themes of the works and chapel. It is undoubtedly a jewel of the world's artistic heritage which showcases baroque creativity, dynastic pride, beauty, and mystery, blending together to create a unique and almost timeless atmosphere.
