The FBI has recently released a list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in America, and this is something you will definitely want to take note of. Some of these places are found in cities that are generally safe, but still, have tremendous crimes rates in specific areas. Below you can see how the list breaks down.
 
Detroit, Michigan – W. Warren Avenue/McKinley Street

If you live in this area, your odds of falling victim to a violent crime are 1 in 13.
Tulsa, Oklahoma – E. Mowawk Boulevard/N. Cincinnati Avenue
Most Dangerous Neighborhoods in America
Most of Oklahoma is pretty safe from violent crime, but this neighborhood has a ridiculously high 7,886 incidents of violence per 100,000 people.

 

E. St. Louis, Illinois, – City Center
Most Dangerous Neighborhoods in America
80 out of 1,000 people are involved in violence, and a day doesn’t go by without there being reports of gunfire.
Baltimore, Maryland - Druid Hill Avenue/Lauren St.

Much of Baltimore's problems start with poverty. 95.5% of Maryland neighborhoods have more money than this place.

Though it's suburban, this part of Houston is home to several high-rise low-income housing projects and apartment blocks, leading to incredibly dense, invulnerable strongholds of crime.

For every 100,000 people, this neighborhood creates 9,379 crimes. With little tax bases, there's no real hope for infrastructure improvements, meaning that the situation is unlikely to get better any time soon.
