Music Box: Andrew Lloyd Webber's Music

Andrew Lloyd Webber has written and composed some of the most well-known musicals in the world. He has, alongside lyricist, Tim Rice, told incredible stories, made us laugh and made us cry with his enormous body of work, which spans more than four decades. Whistle Down the Wind - No Matter What
Donny Osmond performs a heartwarming rendition of this wonderful song. Whistle Down the Wind was canceled soon after its premiere in America, however it ran for over 1,000 performances in just three years on London's West End. 
 
Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - Any Dream Will Do   
Osmond was the star of this musical for more than 2,000 performances. It is said that he used to become extremely light-headed and nervous before taking the stage in this role.
 
Sunset Boulevard - As If We Never Said Goodbye
Based on a 1950s film of the same name, Sunset Boulevard originally opened in London's West End, however it was successful in many different cities. 
 
Tell Me On a Sunday - Take That Look Off Your Face 
Marti Webb was the original star of this one-woman show. This particular song saw Webb rise to the top three of the British pop charts in 1980.  
 
 
Jesus Christ Superstar - I Don't Know How To Love Him
This song is performed by Mary Magdalene's character in the world-famous rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar. The show originally opened on Broadway in 1971. 
 

By Jeeves - When Love Arrives

This whimsical song is from the 1975 musical By Jeeves, which was based on the Jeeves and Wooster stories of P.G. Wodehouse. 
 
The Beautiful Game - Let Us Love In Peace
This musical is about a group of teenagers during the Troubles in Ireland. Let Us Love In Peace is its closing song. 

 

The Likes Of Us - The Likes Of Us

This is the titular song from a musical about a philanthropist who set up homes for over 60,000 destitute children. 

 
Starlight Express - Starlight Express

A train comes to life in this off-the-wall musical, and this is the title song from it. Starlight Express originally opened in London's West End in 1984.
