Wonderful Paper Art by Diana Beltran Herrera

You wouldn't believe that what follows has been made and designed using paper. Artist Diana Beltran Herrera hand makes each paper bird, building them up in layers. To maker her paper art, she first starts with the base structure then glues on delicate feathers that are curled and splayed once attached. The feathers are added to the main body, tail, wings and head. The final details, the eyes and beak, are left to the end. To complete the look, she uses wire and floral tape for the legs and feathers are painted to make each bird look as realistic as possible. Each work of art takes about 5 days to 2 weeks to complete.
