Freshen Your Rooms Scientifically with the Perfect Plants

It’s so important to maintain a good atmosphere in our home – and I’m not talking about marriage counseling! To really clear the air, NASA has revealed which house plants are best at making our homes clean, fresh, and delightful - all for the benefit of our health.

NASA’s clear air study discovered which plants are good at removing chemicals like benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene, and ammonia, that have been associated with health problems such as headaches, dizziness, and eye irritation.

The study, led by Dr. B.C. Wolverton. concluded that The Florist’s Mum and Peace Lily are the best performing air-purifying plants. NASA has also suggested that we keep one plant per 100 square feet. Even though this research was completed 27 years ago, it’s widely regarded to be the definitive study in this fascinating field.
