Visit a place you'd never thought you'd get to

Have you ever wondered what the world looks like from the top of Mount Everest? Wonder no more, because Discovery Channel has created a way for you to ascend the world's highest mountain from the comfort of your own living room. You'll be able to experience just how extreme the climb really is, as you move from Camp 1 to Camp 4 before making your final ascent.

Here's how to enjoy this amazing virtual tour:

1. Left-click Start the Climb with your mouse to begin the ascent from Base Camp.

2. Upon arrival the Khumbu Icefall, the ascent will pause temporarily to give you information about a recent incident that happened in that location. Simply left-click on the play button your mouse once again to continue the ascent.

3. When you arrive at the summit, you'll be able to look around to see what the view from the top of the world is actually like. All you need to do is left-click with your mouse and drag the cursor either to the left or the right of your screen to get a 360-degree look (if you're on an iPad, you can just move it left and right to be able to change perspective).
