The Berlin zoo opened in 1844, and the first animals were donations from the King of Prussia. During WWII, the zoo was completely destroyed, and most of the animals were tragically killed. After the war, the zoo was rebuilt in a way that makes the animal habitats as similar as possible to their natural habitats. This fantastic video lets you visit the Berlin Zoo in such detail as to seem lifelike!
