Nature in Beautiful Embroidery

Whoever said embroidery was boring, needs to meet visual artist Meredith Woolnough from Australia. Her special technique makes use of water-soluble fabric and creates unique, breathtaking embroidery that is inspired, she says, by nature's own designs. The graceful forms, the lightness and delicacy, is one we often see in the natural world.

First she traces a form into the fabric, a natural form, then she embroiders her art into the fabric and dissolves it, the results are stunning.

If you want to learn from her she gives some great tips at her blog, or you can check out her website or facebook page for more of these beautiful creations.
