Imagine a vacation on a beautiful tropical island with the people you love and all the sun you can ever wish for… Imagine having absolutely no care in the world, and anything you don’t want around, you can just throw off the island. That’s the life people have on their private islands. Some of them are open to the public, some are closed for anyone but VIP guests, but they are all beautiful beyond words.

The island has four beaches; East Beach, West Beach, Honeymoon Cove, and Dive Beach. You can see them all from the small mountain in the middle of the island, which offers breath-taking views.

"The World" is the lesser known artificial island project done in Dubai, built next to the amazing Palm Island. However, unlike the Palm this project had a "small" problem, most of the islands built started sinking back into the ocean. Some islands are still safe  for private vacations and are used by people who want a truly "unusual" island holiday.

Skorpios Island – Greece

It is mainly known as the private island of the late Greek shipping billionaire, Aristotle Onassis. It was the site of his wedding to former US First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy on October 20, 1968. It is probably the biggest heirloom in the world, as Aristotle's will states that the island must remain in his family until they can no longer pay the upkeep.

Fregate is an island-for-rent with accommodations for 16 people, if you can find 16 people rich enough to rent it. This tropical resort has over 100,000 trees on it and indigenous wildlife that are being well protected. Its Anse Victorin beach was voted "The World's Best Beach" by The Times and it's hard to argue with that fact once you get to see this tropical paradise.
