Say hello to Bilbo, a giant Newfoundland dog with a very unlikely job, a lifeguard. Saving lives is hard work, but it's a bit easier when you're born to do it. Newfoundland dogs are a breed made for saving lives, especially in the water, and it just so happens that his owner Steve, is a lifeguardas as well. |
Much like the rest of his kind, Bilbo is a fantastic swimmer. He has strong back lags, a double coat of fur and big paws to help him paddle. Combine that with a love for water and strong bound with humans and you have a perfect lifeguard. |
But how will this "perfect lifeguard handle a challenge from a human? The British BBC staged a test for Bilbo, one that will be hard even for a human professional lifeguard. How do you think did he do? Who do you think won? Watch this video and find out: |
